Yes. Australian Labradoodles are known for gentle, people‑oriented temperaments and usually integrate very well with children and other pets when properly socialized.
Plan on 45–90 minutes of daily activity depending on age and size, plus mental enrichment (training games, puzzle feeders, sniff walks).
They’re enthusiastic and clever. With consistent training and exercise, they settle nicely in the home. Minimal nuisance barking when needs are met.
Minis and mediums can thrive in apartments with daily walks, enrichment, and a consistent routine.
Mini: ~14–16" tall, ~15–25 lb
Medium: ~17–20" tall, ~25–40 lb
Height is determined by measuring from the ground to the wither, which is the highest point on the dog's shoulder blades.
Fleece (wavy/soft) Hypoallergenic and non-shedding.
Common colors include cream, caramel, apricot, red, chocolate, café, parchment, and black. Patterns consist of solid, tuxedo, parti, roan, phantom, or sable.
Labradoodles are considered hypoallergenic because they shed minimally, inheriting low-shedding coats from their Poodle ancestors. Their single-layer coat traps dander and loose hair, preventing it from spreading into the environment.
Routine grooming and frequent brushing cause very minimal shedding, as most shedding is due to seasonal coat changes, which can increase loose hair.
Four different things:
Veterinary exam, age‑appropriate core vaccine(s), deworming schedule, microchip, and health record.
With good nutrition, preventative healthcare, regular exercise, and consistent vet care, the average lifespan is 12 to 16 years.
